FRASASSI CAVES AND VALADIER TEMPLE



The Frasassi Caves are underground karst caves located within the Gola della Rossa, the Regional Natural Park. You will admire natural calcareous stratifications sculptures formed over the course of 190 million years. Among the karst rocks there is Valadier Temple, the famous "refugeium peccatorum" located inside a cave. The small place of worship erected by Pope Leo XII in 1828 and designed by the famous architect Giuseppe Valadier is built according to neoclassical aesthetics.

Portonovo



Renowned tourist destination, Portonovo is immersed in splendid views of unspoiled nature. Jewel of the Monte Conero Regional Park, Portonovo stretches out in a still intact natural setting, where the Mediterranean scrub touches the crystalline water of the sea. The beach shines with the white pebbles of Conero stone, continuously smoothed by the waves. Two brackish lakes enrich a unique environment, which has partly become a nature reserve.

Located 20 minutes away from Numana, Recanati is the typical "balcony city" due to its wide panorama. We suggest to visit Recanati starting from Palazzo Leopardi, the poet's birthplace, still inhabited today by his descendants and located in the "Sabato del villaggio" square, from the square you can reach Mount Tabor, the famous "hill of infinity" from which you can admire an enchanting panorama.

OSIMO



Perched on a knoll at 265 m. asl, Osimo extends over a hilly area. The old town stands on two hills side by side. The sculptures of the "Lapidarium", which represent Roman characters in toga and heroic half-nakedness, are famous for being headless: this characteristic has given rise to a nickname attributed to the inhabitants of Osimo, the so-called "Headless".
